Common questions from Victoria clients
Do I need to be in Victoria for a session?
No. All sessions are 100% virtual, which means you can attend from anywhere in British Columbia — your home, your office, or wherever you're comfortable. As long as you're in BC, we can work together.
How does virtual EMDR therapy work?
Virtual EMDR uses audio bilateral stimulation (alternating tones through headphones) or tapping instead of hand movements. Research consistently shows virtual EMDR is as effective as in-person delivery. Many clients prefer it for the comfort of being in their own space.
What if I've never tried therapy before?
That's completely fine. Many of our clients are new to therapy. The free initial consultation is a relaxed conversation — no clinical intake, no commitment, no pressure. You get a chance to ask questions and see if we're the right fit before deciding anything.
How quickly can I start?
Typically within a day or two of your free consultation. We don't have a waitlist. If the consultation goes well and you'd like to begin, we can usually schedule your first session within the same week.
Does my insurance cover virtual therapy?
Most insurance plans that cover Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC) will cover virtual sessions. We recommend checking with your provider. We also offer sliding scale fees from $110/hr for those without coverage.
