A private practice for Regina — not a program, not a queue
Search for counselling in Regina and much of what comes up is community programming and employee-assistance lines. Those services matter, but they often mean intake waits, session caps, and whichever counsellor is assigned. TEO Counselling is different: an independent private practice where you choose your therapist, keep the same one, and usually start within days.
Every session happens over secure video — Zoom, Google Meet, or the Jane platform — whether you’re in Cathedral, Lakeview, or Harbour Landing, or out in White City, Pilot Butte, or Moose Jaw. You’ll receive a receipt after each session; many extended health plans reimburse counselling from a Canadian Certified Counsellor, a Registered Psychotherapist, or a Registered Social Worker — check what your plan lists.
Our hours fit how Regina works: evenings Monday–Friday 6:30–9pm and weekends noon–9pm, around government and Crown-corporation schedules, healthcare shifts, and family life. And since the city hosts the RCMP’s Depot Division, we’re comfortable supporting members, trainees, and their families.
Two therapists who work with Regina clients
Mohamad Shabib, MACP, CCC
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and Canadian Certified Counsellor. Mohamad works with trauma and PTSD using EMDR (EMDRIA-trained) and Internal Family Systems (Levels 1–2), provides Gottman Method couples counselling (Levels 1–2), with further training in CBT for Trauma and addictions counselling (CACCF). Sessions in English and Arabic.
Rola Shbib, BSW (Hons), RSW
Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, based in London, Ontario and meeting Saskatchewan clients by video. Rola’s background spans crisis intervention and suicide prevention, grief and loss — she holds an honours degree in thanatology — and addictions and mental health, through a trauma-informed lens. Sessions in English and Arabic.
Marriage counselling for Regina couples
When the same argument keeps replaying or the distance between you has quietly grown, structured help changes the conversation. Mohamad is trained in the Gottman Method (Levels 1–2) — decades of research on what helps relationships last, turned into practical tools for conflict, trust, and reconnection.
Because sessions run by video, there’s no babysitter to arrange and no Ring Road at rush hour — partners can even join from two locations if one of you is away for work. Couples sessions are $175/hour, with evening and weekend times that let both of you actually show up. Learn about couples & relationship counselling →

Common questions about counselling in Regina
How quickly can I see a therapist in Regina?
Usually within days. TEO Counselling is a private practice with no intake queue — book a free 15–20 minute consultation online, and if it feels like a fit, your first full session is typically scheduled the same week.
Is TEO Counselling a free or government counselling service?
No — we are an independent private practice. Individual sessions are $150/hour and couples sessions are $175/hour, plus a sliding scale if cost is a barrier. You receive a receipt after every session, and many extended health plans reimburse part or all of the fee.
Do you offer marriage counselling for Regina couples?
Yes. Mohamad provides Gottman Method marriage counselling (Levels 1 & 2 trained) by secure video. Couples sessions are $175/hour, and evening and weekend availability makes it easier for both partners to attend — even from two different locations.
Will my insurance cover online therapy in Saskatchewan?
Many extended health plans cover counselling from a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), a Registered Psychotherapist, or a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Every plan is different, so check which designations your policy lists before booking.
Is video therapy as effective as meeting in person?
For most concerns — including trauma and couples work — research shows video-delivered therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person care. It also takes winter driving, parking, and travel time out of the equation.
Can I have my sessions in Arabic?
Yes. Mohamad and Rola both offer sessions in Arabic as well as English, by secure video anywhere in Saskatchewan.
